Matthew A. Muns
Chairman of the Board
 |
Matthew Muns is a founding
partner and the Chief Operating Officer for MDCC
Holdings, a Dallas, Texas based investment company
that has several business interests in Mozambique,
primarily in the construction and transportation
sectors. Mr. Muns was named Chairman in September
2007 after MDCC Holdings acquired a significant
share of MCL.
Mr. Muns holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Communications
from Southern Methodist University as well as a
Juris Doctorate degree from St. Thomas University
School of Law. Mr. Muns is a member of the state
bar of Texas and also currently serves on the board
of directors of the TSRA. Before taking over the
position of Chief Operating Officer of MDCC Holdings,
Muns was a practicing corporate attorney.

Dave Shiels
Director of Engineering
 |
Dave Shiels is a Mozambique
resident and a civil engineer with over 30 years
experience in the civil construction and building
industry. His extensive experience in structural
and civil design adds great value and capacity to
MCL.
Mr. Shiels has completed rural/urban water and sewer
reticulation projects, along with bulk water supply
and storage development. He has also engineered
agricultural irrigation systems and canals. His
construction experience is diverse having planned
and developed low density housing, industrial factories,
bridges, and fabricated and erected steel structures.
He is the Director of Engineering for MCL and works
out of our Maputo office. Dave is also an active
member of the South African Institute of Civil Engineering
(SAICE).

Alexandre Comè
Director of Finance
 |
Alex joined the MCL team
in July 2008. Prior to joining MCL Alex was managing
his own financial consulting firm, which catered
to the ecotourism industry.
Alex holds a degree in accounting from the University
of South Africa, Johannesburg and brings vast financial
and accounting experience with him including stints
at KPMG and BCI-Fimento, one of the largest banks
in Mozambique.

Scott Fithen
Operations Manager
 |
Scott recently joined
the MCL team in June of 2009 as Operations Manager.
He holds a Bachelors Degree from Cornell University
where he studied Applied Economics Management. He
also earned his Juris Doctorate degree from the
University of Maryland School of Law.
Scott has big company construction experience having
worked in Ryan Homes overseeing residential neighborhood
developments of up to 50 houses.

Dave Paterson
Civil Engineer
 |
Dave is MCL’s newest
addition to its civil engineering corp. He joined
MCL from South African based engineering firm Endecon.
Dave specializes in roads, foundations and managing
projects in remote locations. In previous roles
he oversaw projects in Ethiopia, Benin and Uganda.
Dave will be working out of the Maputo office. He
is also an active member of SAICE.

Wynand Senekal
Project Manager
 |
Wynand
Senekal joined MCL in 2007. He is a South African
citizen, but has over 5 years as a project manager
in Mozambique. For MCL he has overseen the building
of the Dendustri Factory in Matola as well as managing
Phase 1 of the Transcomm Hardstand and Warehouse
Project in Beira. Wynand works out of MCL’s Beira
branch office and is currently overseeing the SDV
International project.

Wilson Rodrigues
Project Manager
 |
Wilson
Rodrigues is a junior civil engineer at MCL. He
has over 5 years of experience in design, construction
and project management. Wilson just completed the
Tyco/Seacomm Fiber-Optic Cable Terminal in Maputo
on time in April. He will be working on MCL's projects
in Maputo.

Alwyn Senekal
Sr.
Project Manager
 |
Alwyn is
MCL’s newest project manager, starting with the
company January 1, 2009. His first project for MCL
was Transcom Phase 2 in Beira. Alwyn successfully
completed the project, which consisted of roads
and warehousing, on time and on budget.
Although new at MCL, Alwyn is no stranger to the
construction business. After graduating from the
University of Pretoria he has spent 25 years in
the construction industry including running his
own company in Zambia. Prior to joining MCL Alwyn
had worked for Leisagang and Anglo Structure in
Mozambique. As all of MCL’s project managers are,
he is proficient in Portuguese. |
